Episode 671 - Be Intentional With Your Intellect
In his book, Powershift, Alvin Toffler wrote: The illiterate of the 21st Century are not those who cannot read and write but those who cannot learn, unlearn, and relearn.
You must always be a student. Always learning. When you are intentional with your learning you have a variety of options at your fingertips.
Library University is your first stop. I’ve read 323 nonfiction books since 2018 and most of them were borrowed from the library.
When you are at the library, borrow subjects that you are curious about and ones that will help advance whatever you currently do. If you currently do something you hate – I’m sorry – focus on subjects of activities, you want to do.
Curiosity can be your foundation of discovery. Wanting to explore like a treasure hunter in the days of old.
Finally, teach on what you have learned. Put yourself in a position where you must teach on something. If you are uncomfortable teaching it even better. It will push you past your boundaries on your way to greatness.
