When I first heard the line, 'ya gotta be like Coke, have originality' in a rap during my teen years, I took it to heart. Like, literally to heart. Once again I heard from someone, "we don't know where you fit."  This is something I've heard my whole life. People don't know how to "shelf" me - because I'm an original. 

- Salt the Band (we don't know how to shelf you)
- Corporate America (we don't know where to put you in our company, you do a lot of things)
- Hollywood (we don't know how to cast you, you look to hip for a normal 50 yr old and not hip enough for a 30 yr. old)

If you are an original; if you don't fit in a box; don't be discouraged. Not having a shelf for you is one of the greatest compliments you can receive.
