The COVID 19 Coronavirus has impacted the world as we know it with a reported number of unemployment claims soaring while America is being quarantined. There were 282,000 unemployment claims in the first full week of quarantine and 3.3 million unemployment claims in the second full week of being quarantined.
For the second week in a row, our family sat in front of the television, along with families all across the world for church online.
My daily workout routine is lost because fitness gyms have been closed and stores our sold out of the workout equipment.
Our routines have been lost, so new ones need to be created.
The COVID 19 Coronavirus is the biggest curve ball the world has seen since the Spanish Flu more than 100 years ago. It’s a curve ball we weren’t ready for however it’s a curve ball we will overcome.
Just like in business, what you don’t want to do is wait for the disruption to end before establishing new routine. Routines are very important; they prevent you from drifting. You need to establish new routines as quickly as possible.
When you drift, you find large gaps of time pass by without getting anything productive done. When you drift, you are closer to being driven by influencers on social media or news outlets.
Establishing a new routine doesn’t have to be permanent, once things go back to a revised normal, you can revert to a tweaked version of your previous routine.
There will always be curve balls in your life, some curve balls, like the COVID-19 Coronavirus, are bigger than others. Remain strict to the concept of having a routine and flexible enough to change it.
