Yesterday we discussed the four stages of learning from the book, Servant Leadership in Action by Ken Blanchard and Renee Broadwell. The book is a collection of writings from well known authors, and I don’t know who the source of the four stages of learning is, however, the same person gave insight on how leaders are to enable this type of transition.  

Leadership styles need to evolve from:

• Directing in the Novice Stage to
• Coaching in the Apprentice Stage to
• Supporting in the Journeyman Stage to
• Delegating in the Master Teacher Stage
