Daniel Pink wrote in his book, Drive, “praise is feedback, not an award ceremony.” Have you noticed how many people will publicly praise their significant other on Facebook. I’ve been guilty of this, especially last year with my twentieth wedding anniversary. If you think about it, why praise in public? Does it have less impact if you praise someone in private? According to Daniel Pink’s book, Drive, it has greater impact.
