The Daily Wake Up Micro-PodcastEpisode 906 of the Final Season: Not a Person, Just a Fetus #knowTroy #DWUpodcast #abortion #prolife #prochoice
For this True Story Tuesday, I’d like to share a story of my conversations with women in the early 1990s. We would talk about the rights women have. They were pro-choice, I was pro-life.
When we talked about who had rights the common response to my liberal friends was, “It’s not a person; just a fetus.” That’s a hard argument to overcome.
“If the unborn child is simply a blob of flesh,” they would say, “what is the harm of removing it since it’s not life?”
My response was always the same: “What if it is life? What if it is a person?”

More from the book, Authentic Happiness by Martin Seligman. He writes, if you look at bad events as “always” and “never” you have a permanent pessimistic style. If you think in terms of “sometimes” and “lately” you have an optimistic style.

The Daily Wake Up Micro-PodcastEpisode 901 of the Final Season: TST – GET UP! #knowTroy #DWUpodcast #TrueStoryTuesday #getup
A few weeks ago, I needed to grab some items at the grocery store. It was my son, Colt, and me, and we were in a hurry to get the items we needed. As I weaved through the aisle like a young Russell Wilson weaved through the people at the mall, I came across a slow walker. You know the type right? They don’t know exactly what they want so they aimlessly gaze at the shelf hoping what they want will jump out at them. Most slow walkers don’t walk in a straight line either.
My name is
Troy Ritchie and my personal purpose is to provoke thought, inspire hope, and ignite fire by spitt'n fire on The Daily Wake Up Micro-Podcast.
