I started watching the show "Winning Time" on HBO Max yesterday. It. Was. Disgusting. How Hollywood thinks we like to watch that smut is beyond me.  The writing is choppy. The editing is clunky and the people they are portraying weren't like the way the show is portraying them.  Big thumbs down for me.

The one big thing that I put down as something to do this year was take a hike. Last week was spring break and we went to Mt. Charleston National Park to do just that.  Round trip it was a 3.8 mile hike with an elevation climb of a little over one-thousand feet. I can’t recall the elevation of where we were at just that we climbed more than one-thousand feet in elevation.
As we got closer to the side of the mountain there were signs that read, “don’t take the shortcut.” When I read the sign I didn’t fully understand until I started to see how the path zig zagged.  My oldest son took the bait and immediately crossed between the lower portion of the path and the higher one. I told him not to do it again and he asked why?

One of the most interesting books I have ever read is the 4 Hour Work Week by Timothy Ferriss. It’s not the best, not the worst, just interesting.  The book reveals the importance of being extremely diligent with your time. To base what you do on the results and not what other people may expect of you – even your boss. Crazy right?

We as leaders can sometimes focus on catching someone doing something wrong more than catching them doing something right.  Here is what I found valuable in Dave’s book that can help leaders of all stages catch their followers doing something right.
