When someone says, “they have to do something,” it implies they lack the choice of either doing said something or not doing said something.
This falls in line with the phrase, “I can’t.”
I used to say, “I can’t sell sand in the desert” until I realized I had a choice. I could sell something not needed to someone who was willing to buy it. I just won’t.  I changed; I can’t sell sand in the desert to I won’t sell sand in the desert.
It’s the same thought process when someone asks you do do something and you say, “no, I have to do something else.” You don’t have to do anything; you get to do something.
This little changing of your mindset can go a long way with bigger decisions made for you and your family.

Yesterday, I received a pitch from a CEO who was in a mood to duke it out just like I was. I talk about it on this morning's podcast. 
Remember: The sales pitch is dead. Instead of perfecting your pitch, perfect the way you sell and don't be a son of a pitch.

There is a difference between having assurances of who you are and our abilities and being vain.  Vain is defined as: having or showing an excessively high opinion of one's appearance, abilities, or worth.  A few weeks ago, I spoke at schools from my home town on the Big Island of Hawaii. It was an incredible experience.  During on of the sessions the teacher informed me that she would have to take out a portion of the class to study for an upcoming test.  I thanked her for letting me know and asked if she could give me five minutes because they've never heard anyone like me.  She didn't know how to receive what I said yet could tell I wasn't saying it with conceit. She let the students stay for five minutes and none of them wanted to leave.  It was a great time. 
You can be confident in your abilities and not be on the Vain Train.  It's an empowering feeling when you receive validation from yourself, God, and no one else. Combine that with the right level of preparation and you can confidently say, "they've never heard anyone like me." 
Don't believe you can do it? I do. I know you can do it!

There is a company called Nine9 that purchases social media ads that gives the impression they will submit non-union actors to movie or modeling roles. Here's the catch: IT COST $99. 
It was an obvious scam, however, the scam wasn't truly revealed until I attended the group casting call. Sometimes we miss out on legit opportunities because it feels like a scam. You won't know it's a scam until you are actually a part of the presentation of the scam. If you have the time and it's something you've always wanted to do, check it out. Just don't spend any of your hard earned money.

Gandhi was a Hindu activist, lawyer, politician, and writer. He documented seven deadly sins that I think are important to remember in today's world. 
Wealth without work
Pleasure without conscience
Science without humanity
Knowledge without character
Politics without principle
Commerce without morality
Worship without sacrifice
Instead of pointing out these "sins" in others, work on them for yourself. If we all do that we will experience a better life for all.

Today we recognize WHY we are thankful. 
Last night I saw the movie Eternals and one of the Eternals (Druig) had a super power that allowed him to control minds. This was a creepy super power since people would stop what they were doing and do the bidding of Druig.
My WHY I'm thankful is because I serve a God referenced in the Bible that doesn't control our minds.  After seeing how creepy it was for someone to snap their fingers and control every human in the area, I'm thankful God has given us a free choice. Even if our free choice is rejecting Him and His goodness.
