The Evolution of the Word Passion

The original meaning of the word passion is to suffer as Christ suffered on the Cross. Yet in today's use of the word, as Jeff Murrah writes in his blog, The Etymology of Passion, the word passion has changed to something that is different from suffering.
Automobile makers have used passion to describe how you feel about their vehicle. I don't know about you, when I'm really into a car it's not something that inflicts pain causing me to suffer.
Land Rover: "Driven by Passion"
Alfa Romeo: "Passport to Passion"
Understanding the root and original meaning of a word can bring proper context when using it in modern culture. (Unless you don't like facts wrecking a good story). :)

I don’t believe we are a racist country

I was shocked to hear comments from Matt Rowan and shared a video on my social channels that I don’t believe this one racist man represents America. “Well, Troy there are more of them out there, you just choose to look the other way.” Is what I’ve heard for the past few years. I share my thoughts not to try and convince you, just to offer a different perspective from someone who grew up being bullied all through middle and high school because of the color of my fair skin.
