Coaches look for the best from their players regardless of where the players are at in their talent level. Coaches have to find the good of each player they have to ensure their team is successful in winning the game.
What if all aspects of our life was like that? No matter what the situation or who we were working with, we had to find the best about it or them in order to be successful.

Are You Always Wrong?

Years ago someone told me, “Troy, why are you always right?” We were in the midst of a debate and I thought about it for a minute and responded by telling him, “I’m not always right, you’re always wrong.” There can be times in our life where we get into a rut and it feels like everything we do is wrong. Instead of gritting your teeth and living the “underdog lifestyle,” look for the truth in situations and properly evaluate the risk reward of your actions. Remember that “Now Go Get It” comes after “You Got It” not before.

What are you doing for discipline?

Self-discipline is an important part of growing and can be implemented physically, spiritually, and emotionally. For me, I work out multiple times a week disciplining my body, abstain from harmful material or pleasures to spiritually discipline myself, and finally read books to discipline my emotions. How Can You Be a Q?

All this week, to help promote my book, You Got It; Now Go Get It: Realizing Once and For All Just How High You Can Fly, being released on Amazon, I highlighted the influencers who inspired me to tell my story through content on LinkedIn.
Today's spotlight is Quentin Michael Allums or "Q."
After discovering how much phenomenal content was coming out of Milwaukee, by some very talented content creators, I started asking questions about how they got started. It seemed the answers always pointed back to a young man who went by the name of "Q."
"You know Q right? Well he suggested I get started producing videos on LinkedIn" - Shay Rowbottom
"I work with Q, and his team for video. They are in the same building as me." - Jackie Hermes
"Q and I talk about this all the time . . ." - Sam Lister
The power of paying your story forward, typically reveals one person who is the catalyst for others. In the case of the #milwaukeemagic it was, and is, Q.
If it wasn't for Q encouraging Shay, Jackie, and Sam, they may have never started sharing their story on LinkedIn through video.
If they never shared their story on LinkedIn through video, I would have never started sharing my story through video, podcasting, and eventually a book.
More than being a star, I want to be like Q. Someone who is behind the scenes and a strength for others.

Close Your Eyes and Go For It

All this week, to help promote my book, You Got It; Now Go Get It: Realizing Once and For All Just How High You Can Fly, I’m going to be highlighting the influencers who inspired me to tell my story through content on LinkedIn.
Today's spotlight is Jackie Hermes.
Jackie is a part of the Milwaukee Magic, a phrase I created after finding how much great content is coming out of the city of Milwaukee.
What inspired me most about Jackie’s content is her ability to engage the audience by asking a simple question. The question is always genuine and asked with curiosity. What I mean by that is the question isn’t asked to prove a point. It’s always asked to get feedback from her audience.
This method has worked incredibly well for Jackie as her following and business were exploding pre COVID and she is still producing content to this day.
I interviewed Jackie in July of 2019 on the Always Go Big Interview Podcast and in that interview, she shared how much Quentin Allums, or “Q” had helped in producing her content and video presence. The more I talked to each member of the Milwaukee Magic the more everything pointed to Q, which is who we will highlight tomorrow.
Jackie’s business exploded because she shared her story - not because she gave some silly sales pitch to her prospects.

The Important Piece to Finding Peace

All of us have a story to tell. How you tell your story is through content. Content can be delivered in the written word, through audio (like this) podcast, and my favorite, video.
I’m going to be highlighting the influencers who inspired me to tell my story through content on LinkedIn.To help promote my book, You Got It; Now Go Get It: Realizing Just How High You Can Fly being released on Amazon. Today's spotlight is Sam Lister.
When I first saw Sam's video on LinkedIn, I thought to myself, “how old is this guy?” Because of his youth, I paid attention, then when I heard him question the importance or value of college, I was hooked on his content.
Like Shay, who got her start in Milwaukee, was also from Milwaukee. It was then I began to realize there was some serious talent coming out of this city.
I interviewed Sam in May of 2019 on the Always Go Big Interview Podcast and in that interview, he shared his decision to follow his passions rather than going to college or getting a job. One of his influencers, like others from Milwaukee, take a lot of their principals from Gary Vaynerchuck who has inspired millions by speaking life into them.
One of the big moments for me in my concept happened after learning more about the idea of Self-Mastery from Purdeep Sangha and finding your authentic self through Sam Lister. The first section in my book is all about finding your authentic self. Part of my talk to students who are Generation Z is asking them, “do you know who you are?” Knowing who you are is not only an important piece to finding peace, it’s the first piece.

Increase Your Confidence

To help promote my book, You Got It; Now Go Get It: Realizing Just How High You Can Fly being released on Amazon yesterday, I’m going to be highlighting the influencers who inspired me to tell my story through content on LinkedIn. Today it's Shay Rowbottom.
Shay was the first influencer that showed both her highs and lows in her video content. Like myself, she was a former musician who hadn’t achieved the success she expected. One video I would see her smiling as she told her story, another video I would see her crying telling her story.
I interviewed Shay in June of 2019 when she was the fastest growing video influencer on LinkedIn. Within one year of her first video, Shay exploded on the scene and now she’s at 578,00 followers on the platform.
Shay has the uncanny ability to make you feel like you are right there with her in her journey of success. There is a feeling of “we did it” through Shay that is hard to explain. Her greatest example for me was to be yourself without fear of consequence.
